Correct application of lemongrass oil maximizes benefits and avoids irritating the skin. Each area of the body has a set purpose. Diluted oil penetrates areas of thin skin with good circulation better. I rotate where I apply the oil to avoid sensitizing the skin while maintaining its effectiveness.

Pulse Points

  • Wrists and temples for anxiety reduction
  • Neck base for stress relief and focus
  • Quick absorption through thin skin layers

Joints

  • Knees and elbows for arthritis pain relief
  • Penetrates deep tissue to reduce inflammation
  • Combine with gentle massage for better absorption

Abdomen

  • Digestive support for bloating and cramps
  • Clockwise massage stimulates intestinal function
  • Effective before meals for preventive care

The skin on the soles of your feet has excellent systemic absorption. This area has large pores and reflexology points that correspond to various organs. To maximize overnight benefits, apply diluted oil here before going to bed. Socks can help reduce sheet staining. I find that this expedites sleep, improves, and enhances its quality while providing whole-body effects.

Massage gently until fully absorbed

There are some sensitive areas that should be completely avoided. Never apply to the eyes, inner ears, or genital areas. The mucous membranes absorb the oil too quickly, which irritates. Broken skin or rashes may react unpredictably. Always wash your hands after applying the oils to avoid accidental contact with sensitive areas.

Merge application with supportive techniques for enhanced results. A gentle massage causes increased blood circulation and absorption. Applying warm compresses over the oil allows for a greater absorption of the oil used for joint pain relief. Apply oil after baths when the pores are relaxed. The application of these procedures has proven to be three times as effective in my clinical diagnosis.
